ADA, Okla. – Another week, another five-goal win for the Oklahoma Baptist women's soccer team. Six different Bison found the back of the net to give the OBU a 6-1 victory over East Central Saturday. OBU is now 3-0-1 (2-0 GAC) in the 2021 campaign.

This was the second week in a row the Bison have claimed a five-goal victory, after knocking off Southern Nazarene on Friday, Feb. 26, 5-0.

In the first half against the Tigers, ECU's Victoria Daniel broke through the Bison defense and posted the visitors'Â lone goal of the match to give the Tigers an early 1-0 advantage. OBU didn't flinch and
Keely Hampton got the Bison on the board in the 14
th minute.
Tori Kitchel then followed up Hampton's goal with one of her own, giving OBU a 2-1 lead going into halftime.

During the second period both the Bison offense and defense came alive, shutting out the Tigers and posted four more goals.
Kimmy McKinney got the Bison rolling, netting the first goal of the second in the 48
th minute.
Kaylee Swaner then posted the fourth goal of the day ten minutes later.
Katie Fowler (59

rd minute) scored the final two goals to give the Bison the 6-1 victory.

OBU put up 25 total shots with 15 landing on goal and finished with five assists.
Hannah Evans led the team in assists with two.
Hannah White, Kitchel, and Fowler each chalked up an assist apiece.

OBU will return to action on Tuesday, March 9 as they head to Dallas, Texas, to take on Dallas Baptist. The Bison will look to avenge their 2-1 loss to the Patriots from last year with kickoff set for 3 p.m.
