SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team fell 3-0 to Harding in game one of a weekend home series Friday night at Bobby Cox Field at Ford Park.

Walker Keller led the day for the Bison, as each posted a hit. OBU starterÂ
Jake Lipetzky (2-2) struck out seven batters and only allowed one run in six innings of work.

The visiting Bisons got out to a fast start scoring the first run of the game on a walk in the top of the first. Harding starter Andrew Brandshaw (3-1) threw seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits. The final two Harding runs came in the top of the eighth and ninth, while reliever Andrew Yakel surrendered just one hit in two inings to pick up the save for the Bisons.

The teams will continue their series Saturday with an afternoon doubleheader. First pitch will come at 1 p.m.
