SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's soccer team bounced back and shut out Northwestern Oklahoma State, 2-0, in a Saturday afternoon matinee contest. The Bison are now 3-0 in Great American Conference play.

The first period was a defensive battle between the two teams with neither side giving up a goal for the first 43 minutes. The OBU defense kept the Rangers on their toes, allowing no shots on goal.
Kaylee Swaner got the Bison on the board, on a penalty kick, in the 43
rd minute when she put the ball in the top of the net just out of the reach of Ranger goalkeeper Reyna Gonzalez. Â

In the second period it was much the same as the first period, but the Bison were able to find their offensive groove and put up 13 shots with nine on goal.
Hannah White got the game sealing second goal in the 63
rd minute. The Rangers were able to get two shots off, but neither were on target.

Kimmy McKinney and
Hannah Evans both posted an assist on White's second half goal. Seven Bison each put up shots on goal with Swaner leading the way with three,

The Bison will return to action, at home, on Tuesday, March 23, when they take on Seminole State. Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 6 p.m.
