Moosbacher Dominates in Loss to Northeastern

SHAWNEE – On a day where all the hype was around No. 9 Kim Moosbacher and her to head-to-head with No. 3 Tatjana Stoll of Northeastern, the senior from Cologne, Germany did not disappoint despite the Oklahoma Baptist women's tennis team falling to 4-5 after a 6-1 loss to NSU.

Moosbacher started off her day winning at No. 1 doubles with partner Ethne Dowling 7-5 over Stoll and company. Again shorthanded with the absence of Hanna Zubkova and Jenna Noel, Gabrielly Lamas and Andrea Sanchez were narrowly beat out at No. 3 doubles 7-5, giving NSU the doubles nod after the Bison's No. 2 tandem lost.

Moving to singles, the main event between each program's top-10 girl turned out to be just another match for Moosbacher as she controlled the match from start to finish, defeating Stoll 6-1, 6-1. Now 2-0 against ranked singles players on the season, the All-American has failed to give up a set in three straight matches and is currently sporting a seven-match win streak.

With none of the other Bison able to pick up wins, the 4-5 Bison shift their attention to Emporia State as they come to town Thursday, March 12 at 3 p.m.
