SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist men's tennis team found its first win of the 2020 season over Texas A&M-Texarkana in front of their home fans at the OBU Tennis Complex Saturday. After a tough two losses to Division I opponents to open the season, OBU responded with a dominant 7-0 statement.
OBU took a clean sweep in doubles play as

Matias Le Fort each won 6-2 at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively.

Gianlucca Galdi gave OBU the sweep, winning 6-3.
After an injury during doubles play, all players from No. 2 down had to move up a slot. Suiama netted the first singles win for OBU, winning 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 for his first individual win as a Bison.
First career wins were also earned by Brewer (6-4, 6-0) and Tan (6-0, 6-1). Graterol was the only Bison to see his match go all three sets as he won 6-0, 4-6, 6-4.
The Bison remain at home as they take on Midwestern State on Friday, Feb. 8, at 2:30 p.m.
