ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team split a pair of games with Henderson State in a Saturday afternoon doubleheader. The Bison fell in game one, 15-5, and shut out the Reddies in game two, 6-0.

In the second game, pitcher Caleb Bly led his team to a shutout victory, going 7.0 innings, and giving up no runs. He faced 28 batters and struck out five, bringing his record to 4-0 on the season. Colin Prince and Ramon Enriquez led the offense for the Bison, going 1-2 and 2-4 respectively. Both Prince and Enriquez posted two RBIs. Cliff Pradd, Ramon Gomez, and Eric Carlson all scored a run, while Kaimana Bartolome led the scoring with two runs.

The Bison posted six runs with four of them coming in the top of the first. Gomez got the offense rolling when he got on with a double to right center before advancing to third on a wild pitch. Enriquez followed Gomez's hit with one of his own, sending an RBI single down the left line, which sent Gomez running home. Bartolome walked and reached second, and Enriquez reached third, on an error by the third baseman. Hector Ruvalcaba followed Carlson with an RBI single to right field sending Enriquez home. After a pitching change, Prince was hit by a pitch and was awarded an RBI as Bartolome made it home. Carlson then scored on a fielder's choice, rounding out the four run first inning.

The Bison added the fifth run in the top of the third when Prince batted in Bartolome. The final run was scored in the top of the seventh when Enriquez batted in Pradd on a single to center field.

In game one, Joey Pledger led the way with three RBIs and accounted for one of the four runs. Ruvalcaba posted three runs and Carlson capped off the scoring with one. Pledger singled to left field in the second inning sending Ruvalcaba home. Pledger then batted in Ruvalcaba for a second time in the fourth when he hit a single to left field. Pradd then capped off the fourth when he hit an RBI double down the left field line which sent Pledger home. The fourth and fifth runs were scored in the top of fifth when Prince singled to left field sending Carlson home and finally the fifth run was batted in by Pledger who sent Ruvalcaba home for the third time.
