SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The OBU men's tennis team earned its first win in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play, defeating Newman, 4-3, Saturday evening.

The Bison got on the board first against the Jets, taking the doubles point after sweeping all three matches.

In singles play, OBU got straight set victories at Nos. 2, 4, and 6 to secure the 4-3 win.

At the No. 2 spot,
Gianlucca Galdi was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over Newman's Gustavo Gil, while
Aaron Brewer took his match 6-3, 6-3 over Jarrod Nowak at No. 4.

Sealing the match at the No. 6 spot was
Kaey-Den Tan with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 victory over the Jets' Kenny Wright.

OBU returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 25, as they open a four-game home stand with a 1 p.m. matchup against Arkansas-Fort Smith.
