Lacrosse Opens Home-Play Against Maryville

SHAWNEE --The Oklahoma Baptist women's lacrosse team kicks off its 2020 regular season with its home-opener against Maryville University Saturday, Feb. 15. Making her return to Bison Hill, Mereta Newpower will lead the Bison in the 2020 season. She served as the program's head coach in 2015, compiling an 11-4 record.
 
OBU is coming off a 25-1 pre-season exhibiton match victory against the University of Oklahoma's junior varsity lacrosse team where 10 different Bison found the back of the net, including seven for Karlin York. The Bison will look to carry that momentum into the regular season.
 
First draw is set for 11 a.m. at the OBU Lacrosse Fields. Fans can also catch the game at obubison.com/watch.
