OBU to Conclude Road Trip in Arkansas

SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team will close out its four-game road trip with stops at Southern Arkansas on Thursday, Jan. 23, and Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday, Jan. 25.
 
McKenzie Cooper enters the weekend as the team leader in points, averaging 15.1 points per game. Ugochinyere Nwarie leads the team with 5.5 rebounds per game, while Mikayla Shulanberger leads in total steals with 27. Point guard Jaylin Stapleton returned to action last weekend and delivered two strong performances, putting up 10 points against Southern Nazarene and a season-high 20 points against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Southern Arkansas enters the contest with an 11-5 overall record and is 5-5 in conference play. Diamond Morris leads the way for the Muleriders with an average of 10.1 points per game.
 
Arkansas-Monticello comes into the weekend at 6-4 in Great American Conference play and an 11-5 overall record. The Blossoms are led by Berniezha Tidwell, who averages 16.7 points per game. UAM maintains an 8-1 home record.
