DURANT, Okla. – The Bison made quick work of Southeastern Oklahoma State on the road to open up Great American Conference play with a win, exiting Bloomer Sullivan Arena with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-17) decision.
With the win, OBU pushes their win streak to three. It's also the Bison's third-straight victory in straight sets this season with the team hitting an efficient .319 on the night.
Rylen Moore played lights out, averaging 10 assists/set with a career-high 30 assists in a three-set match. The freshman from Edmond also chipped in with three kills and two service aces.
Oklahoma Baptist trailed in the first set but worked their way back late in the set to eventually take a 1-0 lead.
Malia Leatherland and
Hayley Daniel laid down five kills apiece in the set, with Leatherland hitting .500 in the frame.
Leatherland added another five kills to her total in the second stanza with Southeastern never threatening. Though the Savage Storm took an early lead in the third set, OBU eventually rallied to put the finishing touches on the sweep.
Oklahoma Baptist, now 7-3 overall, turns its attention to their home opener when they take on William Jewell at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 as part of the Bison Invitational.
