SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After a three-hour rain delay the Oklahoma Baptist baseball team began its two-game day with a game against Minnesota State. OBU fell behind 5-0, but the Bison rallied to win 8-5 and continue its NCAA Regional run.
With the win, OBU advanced to face fifth-seeded Arkansas-Monticello in an elimination game with the winner advancing to the championship series against top-seeded Augustana. With the contest beginning at nearly 10 p.m., play was ultimately suspended after four hours of play with the Bison leading 17-10 in the eighth inning. The game is scheduled to resume at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the winner facing off with the Vikings approximately 45 minutes after conclusion of the contest.

In the victory against the fourth-seeded Mavericks, the OBU rally started in the third inning with the Bison putting up three runs. The runs were scored by
Brock Carter,
Brett Bloomfield, and
Garrett McKee. Carter scored off a wild pitch. Bloomfield was batted in off a base hit RBI by McKee. McKee then scored off a base hit RBI from
Jake Gozzo.
In the bottom of the fifth,
Joey Pledger scored a run off of another RBI from McKee, to cut the Minnesota State lead to one.
In the bottom of the sixth, OBU's offense found its stride putting up the game-sealing four runs.
Ramon Enriquez led off with the game tying home run. Carter then batted in
Kaimana Bartolome to give OBU the lead. Bloomfield and Pledger put up the final two runs of the game off of the bats of Pledger and McKee, respectively.
