SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist dropped a pair of softball games to Southwestern Oklahoma State in its final home matchup of the season. The Lady Bison fell in game one, 10-1, and game two, 7-3.
In game one OBU had a total of seven hits as
McKenna Anderson and
Franki Hull led the team with two apiece. In the bottom of the first,
Bry Flanagan got on base and was advanced to third off of a single by Hull. Flanagan then scored OBU's only run off of an error.
In game two, the Lady Bison recorded six hits.
Demi Dobbs led the team with two. Flanagan led off the scoring for OBU with a solo home run in the bottom of the third - her fifth homer of the season. Dobbs then recorded hits in the bottoms of both the fifth and seventh, which allowed Hull to score two RBIs. With those two RBIs Dobbs now has 32 on the season.
OBU begins its next series against East Central in Ada Friday at 2:00 p.m.
