SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist closed out the home portion of its women's basketball schedule with a 92-63 loss to visiting Harding University. The Lady Bison fell to 10-16 overall and 6-14 in the Great American Conference. The loss dropped OBU out of contention for a post-season tournament berth.
Autumn Avina had 21 points and
Victoria Blankenship added 12 to lead OBU in scoring. The Lady Bison trailed 27-14 after the first quarter and fell further at half 53-27.
OBU ended the game making 24-of-61 (39%) from the field and made nine three pointers. Avina and
Raley Farquhar each had three triples for the Lady Bison.
A special ceremony after the game honored the contributions of seniors
Katy Custer,
Alexa Richards, Savannah Andrews and Avina. Each senior was presented a framed jersey and photographed with their family.
