ADA, Okla. – The OBU women's basketball team fell to East Central in overtime in a Saturday afternoon matinee matchup, 69-59. OBU came into the final period with a 49-39 lead before the Tigers rallied back, pulling off an impressive 20-point swing to seal a victory.

The Bison ended the day shooting 19-49 (38.8%). The bench contributed 17 points, with nine points were scored off of 12 ECU turnovers.
Kalifa Ford led the way for the Bison with 17 points and eight rebounds. She also got on the board with a block and a steal. She leads the team in both points and blocks with 147 and six, respectively.
Jaylin Stapleton came in second on the day with nine points and three rebounds, while
Mikayla Shulanberger,
McKenzie Cooper, and
Andreja Peciuraite each contributed eight points apiece.

In the first half OBU came out strong, shooting 13-24 (54%) from the field and 6-12 (50%) from behind the arc. Shulanberger led the half with eight points. OBU scored seven off of turnovers and the bench put up 12. However, in the second half the Tigers came out hot, outscoring the Bison 48-26.

Up next for the Bison is a visit from Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday, Dec. 14, with tip-off set for 1 p.m. inside the Noble Complex.
