SHAWNEE – The Bison women's basketball team is set to open Great American Conference play this week with a pair of games. First up, OBU heads to Durant to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State in a Thursday evening tilt starting at 5:30 p.m. The Bison return to the Noble Complex for a Saturday afternoon matchup against the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State with tip-off set for 1 p.m.

McKenzie Cooper come into the contests leading the team in scoring, averaging 18.0 and 17.3 points per game, respectively.
OBU split its matchups against the Savage Storm last season, dropping  narrow 78-76 decision in Shawnee before winning another close contest, 78-76, in Durant. Returners 
Kaydee Banks and 
Mikayla Shulanberger both  played well against Southeastern last year with Shulanberger putting up 16 points on 7-10 shooting in the first matchup, and Banks going for double digits, shooting 4-7 in Shawnee.
The Bison enter the Northwestern matchup having also split with the Rangers a year ago. OBU stole the first win on the road, 92-83, before Northwestern took it back at the Noble Complex by a count of 67-65. Shulanberger was again a top performer against NWOSU, putting up 15 and 17 points, respectively, in the games.
Fans can listen to both contests on the flagship station for Bison basketball, KGFF 1450 AM and 100.9 FM, with the "Voice if the Bison" Todd Miller on the call. Pre-game coverage begins approximately 30 minutes before tipoff.
