SEARCY, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist fashioned together a spirited effort but fell short losing 75-65 in a women's basketball game Thursday at Harding. The loss dropped the Lady Bison to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in league play.
Harding, which improved to 9-4 overall and 4-3 in league play, was led by Cheyenne Brown with 17 points.
OBU returns to action Saturday against Arkansas Tech University. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in Russellville, Ark.

Autumn Avina added 14 as OBU stayed in step with Harding for much of the game. The game featured 12 lead changes and six different times it was tied. The last tie was at 39-39 with 5:15 remaining the third quarter when Avina scored in transition
OBU finished the game 24-of-67 from the field making 46.9 percent. The Lady Bison connected on seven three pointers as a team.
Kaydee Banks led the way with four triples for OBU.
Avina just missed out on her second consecutive triple double finishing with nine rebounds and nine assists to go along with her 14 points.
Defensively, Harding was held to just 42.1 percent on 28-of-65 attempts. Harding turned the ball over 18 times to OBU's pressure defense. Harding outrebounded OBU 49-35 and shots more than twice the amount of free throw attempts than their visitors (28-12)
