ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas – Oklahoma Baptist, playing in their first action in over a week, fell, 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 22-25, 18-25) to Henderson State on Friday night on the road in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

A hot start by the Lady Bison that saw the squad hit .407, with 12 kills against one error, for a commanding first set win fizzled out over the next three sets. The Lady Bison hit .061 combined across the second and third sets. In the fourth set, OBU showed improvement, but ultimately fell on a strong offensive display by HSU.

Mikayla Watson paced OBU with 16 kills, followed by
Malia Leatherland with 15.
Jenna Gremmel gave out a team-high 28 assists.
Kelsi Chavez and Gremmel each had a team-best 17 digs, with
Hayden Blair just off the pace after tallying 16 digs.

Oklahoma Baptist (11-11, 4-2 GAC) face a quick turnaround as they go across the ravine for a tilt with Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m.
