SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist, for the second week in a row, faces the No. 19 team in the nation when Southern Arkansas visits Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Memorial Athletic Complex Saturday at 1 p.m.

OBU recognizes this week the Coaches to Cure MD program with OBU coaches wearing the Coach to Cure MD patch on their shirts and hosting the Dedmon family, which includes Karsen, who will be celebrating his 16
th birthday. Karsen is battling Duchenne muscular dystrophy and will be presented a game ball after the first quarter.

Preston Haire is averaging 245.5 yards passing per game and leads the Great American Conference with 110 completed passes through four games. He has thrown seven touchdown passes and has a QB rating of 114.1

Cagney Roberson leads the Bison with 74 receiving yards per game and 27 receptions. He is second in the GAC with 6.8 receptions per game after being held to a season-low two catches at Harding last week. As a receiving corps, 15 different Bison have receptions this season.

OBU is getting 348 yards total offense per game and after allowing one sack at East Central, protected the quarterback for no sacks allowed against Southeastern Oklahoma State and Arkansas Tech. The Bison have allowed three sacks in its four games this season after allowing Harding to get to
Preston Haire twice.

Tyler Stuever leads the Bison with 58.5 yards rushing per game after a 96-yard outing at Harding last week. He averages 4.3 yards per carry. The Bison average 101 yards on the ground per game. No one not named
Isaiah Mallory has rushed for 100 yards in a game since the end of the 2015 season.

Hayden Ashley, who doubles as a decathlete in the spring, averages 40.7 yards per punt, has put nine balls inside the 20-yard line and has four punts of 50 or more yards. His average was hurt last week when a punt hit an OBU coverage man downfield and bounced 20 yards the wrong way.

Defensively,
Robert Lolofie has 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks to lead OBU in those categories from the defensive line.
Taurean Smith also has a sack with
Jonah Lebischak and
Ashton Vickers combining for one. Lolofie is second in the GAC in sacks.

Josh Arnold leads the linebacker corps with 35 tackles this season with 16 solos and 19 assists.
Lane Martin is the third-leading tackler on the team with 29 tackles. Arnold ranks seventh in the GAC with 8.8 tackles per game.

Felipe Alvear leads the Bison with 38 tackles through four games. He also has 1.5 tackles for loss, three pass break-ups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Alvear is fifth in tackles in the GAC at 9.5 per game.

SAU quarterback Brett Renner the Muleriders with 267 yards passing per game. He has thrown 10 touchdown passes against four interceptions and has completed 63.9 percent of his tosses. Karonce Higgins has 29 receptions for 503 yards and 125.8 yards per game. Lorenzo Alexander leads the ground game with 68 yards per game and averages 5.8 yards per carry.

SAU is led defensively by Malik Preston's 25 tackles. He has forced four fumbles and has 5.5 tackles for loss. The penetrating Southern Arkansas defense has 38 tackles for loss, led by Anthony Washington at nine. DaVondrick Lison has 3.5 sacks.
