SEARCY, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist freshman
Tyler Stuever rushed 16 times for 96 yards in a 56-7 loss at No. 19 Harding Saturday.

Harding scored on its first drive, marching 68 yards on four plays, culminating in an 11-yard scoring run by quarterback Preston Paden.

The Bison answered with a scoring drive of their own, going 76 yards on 10 plays. Stuever had rushes of 13, 19 and 24 yards and
Preston Haire rushed for 11 yards to set up a scoring pass from Haire to
Jacques Henderson from eight yards away.

The touchdown was the first points surrendered by the HU defense in the first quarter this season.

Luke Wendl tacked on the point after to tie the score with 9:15 remaining in the first quarter.

Harding scored once more in the first quarter on a five-yard run by Cole Chancey.

Steuver had 76 yards rushing on nine carries in the first quarter.

HU added long touchdown plays to grab a 35-7 lead in the second quarter – a 53-yard run by Paden, a 51-yard pass play from Paden to Taylor Bissell and a 48 yard run by Tristan Tucker.

Chancey scored from 25 yards out for a 42-7 lead with 3:47 to go in the third quarter.

Romar Reades scored from nine yards out for a 49-7 Harding lead with 14:19 left in the game. Dakota Endsley scored from 36 yards away for the 56-7 score.

Haire passed for 126 yards, completing 13 of 26 passes.

Felipe Alvear and
Josh Arnold led the Bison with eight tackles each with
Hayden Ashley,
Trajan Lands,
Demarco Shoat and
Quinton Thorp logging tackles for loss.

The Bison return home next week, taking on Southern Arkansas at 1 p.m. at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Memorial Athletic Complex.
