Bison Fall in New Mexico

PORTALES, N.M. – Oklahoma Baptist took on its first loss of the season, falling at Eastern New Mexico Sunday, 2-1.
 
After a scoreless first half, the Greyhounds struck first with a goal by Gabriel Peres in the 66th minute.
 
Jesus Andrade found the back of the net on an unassisted goal in the 78th minute to tie the score at 1-1, but Lucas Vaz scored three minutes later for the eventual game-winner.
 
OBU out-shot their hosts 11-8, including four by Bruno Ferreira. Ferreira, Dominic Gibson, Dave Brown, Jonathan Martinez and Andrade all put shots on goal.
 
Parker Lawter logged two saves in the loss.
 
Now 1-1, the Bison host Oklahoma Christian Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
