Lady Bison Drop Two in Texas

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Oklahoma Baptist dropped a pair of volleyball matches to close out the Tarleton Invitational Saturday, falling to host Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce in a pair of three-set matches.
 
Tarleton State scored the three-set win, 25-17, 25-15, 25-20.
 
Nicole Fleitman led OBU with eight kills with Rachel Richie getting seven. Jenna Gremmel led the team with 27 assists and Malia Leatherland served up two aces.
 
OBU had six blocks in the match with Brecken Roquemore and Fleitman getting in on three each while Mikayla Watson and Leatherland had two block assists each. Richie led the Lady Bison with nine digs.
 
In the 25-15, 25-13, 25-12 loss to Commerce, the Lady Bison got seven kills from Watson and aces from Roquemore and Delayna Mills and Hayden Blair had 10 assists with Gremmel adding eight.
 
Fleitman and Richie combined for OBU's lone block and Mills led with eight digs.
 
The Lady Bison return to action Tuesday with their home opener at 7 p.m. against No. 16 Central Oklahoma.
