MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist's first venture into the NCAA postseason ended Friday in the Central Region Tournament with a 4-1 loss to No. 25 Central Oklahoma.

OBU struck first in the bottom of the second when
Jake Gozzo doubled and eventually scored on a wild pitch. The inning ended with
Matt Poulin, who had been hit by a pitch, was gunned down at the plate after a base hit by
Garrett McKee.

The Bronchos scored two runs on an error in the fifth inning and added another two runs – one earned – in the sixth.

Mychal Yarbor (5-5) allowed two earned runs over five innings and struck out seven batters to take the loss.
Zach Fowler finished his career, allowing one hit over four shutout innings. He struck out four.

OBU had seven hits in the game, including two each by
Juan Gonzalez and Gozzo. OBU also had singles by
Zane Gelphman,
PJ Harris and McKee.

The game was the last college contest for Bison seniors
Brett Berghammer, Gonzalez,
Josh Timms, Gelphman, Poulin, Yarbor, Fowler and
Nick Burnham.

The Bison end the season with a 31-19 record, marking the 15
th consecutive season in which Coach
Bobby Cox led the team to 30 or more wins.
