Lady Bison Host No. 2 Lions on Senior Day

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will celebrate Senior Day Saturday afternoon when they host No. 2 Lindenwood in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game.
 
The Lady Bison will close out their season at the OBU Lacrosse Complex at 1 p.m. Three seniors will be recognized in a special pregame ceremony that will take place about 10 minutes before the start of the game. For midfielder Allison Ingrim, attack Maysn Ungerer and defender Emily Bontekoe, it will mark their final game in green and gold.
 
OBU enters Saturday with a 5-10 record, including a 0-8 mark against RMAC teams. The Lady Bison average 7.33 goals per game paced by 23 goals each from Taylor Skomp and Lauren McCormack. McCormack also has 20 assists and 71 draw controls on the season and is the first player in program history to reach at least 20 goals and assists in a year.
 
Ingrim owns the team lead with 32 caused turnovers and OBU is 20th in Division II with 11.47 caused turnovers per game. Olivia Ward has picked up 36 ground balls this season. Goalkeeper Courtney Barnickle has registered 102 saves this season on a .438 save percentage and enters the final game with a 13.34 goals-allowed average.
 
Lindenwood is looking to close out the regular season with an undefeated record. The Lions are 16-0 overall and have clinched the RMAC regular season championship with a perfect 8-0 conference record. They have a top-10 offense and defense in the country, scoring 17.50 goals per game (7th in NCAA) while allowing only 6.75 goals (5th in NCAA) to the opposition.
 
Allison Hurley leads the way with 80 points, including 38 goals and 42 assists. Sophie Buelow paces the Lions with 49 goals scored and Maria Johnson has won 77 draw controls. Carly Fedorowski has scooped up 43 ground balls and has 33 caused turnovers on the season. Rachel Ortell owns a 7.37 goals-allowed average to go with a .451 save percentage.
