ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist split two games at Henderson State Monday, winning the opener 5-3 before falling 7-4 in the finale.

OBU scored twice in the opener's first inning.
Katie Reyes walked,
Bry Flanagan singled and
Dani Manning walked ahead of a two-run double by
Hailey Seago.

Henderson State took a 3-2 lead in the fourth, but the Lady Bison answered with three in the sixth. Kristen 'Cricket' Grabin singled in a run and two more scored on an outfield error.

Amanda Peterson (2-0) got the complete-game win, striking out eight batters while allowing three hits in her first start of the season.

OBU had nine hits, including two each by Seago and Grabin.
Â
OBU trailed 3-0 in the second game but broke up the shutout in the fifth with three runs.
Cheyenne Demaree doubled and moved to third on a base hit by
Aspen Grimes. Grabin reached on a bunt single and with two outs, Flanagan ripped a three-run double.

The Reddies went up 4-3 in the sixth but OBU tied it in their half of the inning when Seago singled and pinch runner
Kayla Johnson took second on a wild pitch ahead of an RBI double by Demaree.

OBU had eight hits, including two each by Flanagan and Demaree.

The Lady Bison hit the road again this weekend, travelling to Southern Arkansas for four games Friday and Saturday.
