ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist opened Great American Conference softball play with a pair of losses, 7-4 and 5-2, at Henderson State Sunday.

OBU lost the opener, despite an eight-hit offensive outing.

Trailing 4-0, OBU rallied to tie the game in the second.
Hailey Seago homered to break up the shutout and after singles by
Bry Flanagan and
Aspen Grimes,
Shelby Savage doubled to left center to score two runs. Savage scored on an RBI single by
Kristen Grabin.

Flanagan had three singles in the game.

Katie Long (2-2) took the loss.
Â
OBU struck first in the opener, getting a run in the first inning when
Katie Reyes walked and eventually scored as part of a double steal attempt.

Down 5-1, OBU scored its second run in the fifth when Savage singled, moved to second on a ground out and scored on a base hit by
Hannah Danielson.

Bailee Saye took the loss. OBU had three hits, including two by Savage.

The same two teams meet again Monday in an 11 a.m. doubleheader.
