CLAREMORE – Oklahoma Baptist split a pair of games in Claremore Thursday, knocking off Fort Hays State 6-5 before falling 5-3 to Rogers State.

OBU trailed Fort Hays State, 5-0, until the sixth inning.
Katie Reyes broke up the shutout with a leadoff home run.

After one-out singles by
Bry Flanagan and
Dani Manning,
Taylor Zanca came through with a pinch hit single to make it 5-2.
Hailey Seago ripped a game-tying three-run homer to center.

Shelby Savage led off the top of the seventh, reaching second on an error and moving to third on a sacrifice by Reyes. Flanagan produced the eventual game-winning RBI with a single.

The Tigers got the tying run to third in the bottom of the seventh, but
Amanda Peterson (1-0) got out of the threat.

Peterson pitched the final six innings, allowing three runs – none earned.

OBU had 10 hits in the game, including two each by Flanagan and Seago.

In the second game, Reyes produced a two-run single to break a scoreless tie in the third inning.

Rogers State scored in the fourth, but Manning added an RBI single in the fifth for a 3-1 lead.

The Hillcats hit three home runs in a four-run sixth to get the win.

The Lady Bison had seven hits, including three by Reyes and two by
Hannah Danielson.

OBU returns to action with the start of Great American Conference play in the Lady Bison opener Friday at 3 p.m. against Henderson State.
