SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist entertains Northwestern Oklahoma State Thursday with both teams needing a win to advance their chances of reaching the Great American Conference Tournament.
 
Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m.
 
The Lady Bison are 12-11 overall and 7-10 in the GAC, placing them in a tie for seventh with Southern Arkansas. Northwestern sits just outside the eight-team playoff picture in a tie for ninth at 10-13 overall and 6-11 in the conference.
 
OBU features the No. 12 scoring offense in NCAA Division II, averaging 79.7 points per game. McKenzie Cooper leads the team at 17.3 points per game, followed by Tasha Edge at 15.6, Shaylan Coleman at 13 and Lexi Williams at 10.3.
 
Edge leads the Lady Bison at 8.1 rebounds per game while Autumn Avina paces the squad with 4.6 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
 
Jade Jones runs the Northwestern offense, averaging team highs in scoring at 13.5 points and assists at 5.1 per game. Selena McDonald is getting 6.9 rebounds per game.
