OBU Takes on Bronchos Tuesday

SHAWNEE – After a dominating performance on Saturday against Southwestern Oklahoma State, the Bison return to Mabee Arena at the Noble Complex for a non-conference matchup against Central Oklahoma on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
 


Last Time Out
  • After trading the lead through most of the first half, OBU took the lead with 4:03 left in the opening period and never relinquished it. The Bison left Weatherford with an 87-74 win
  • Davion Turner scored a career-high 27 points and completed his first career double-double with a game-high 13 rebounds. He would go on to earn Great American Conference Player of the Week honors for his performance
  • Antonio Wade scored 20 points and handed out four assists. Brantley Thompson was third on the team with 13 points
  • The Bison outrebounded SWOSU, 44-36
     


Scouting the Bronchos
  • Central Oklahoma enters Tuesday's contest at 5-4, but has dropped their last two games on the road. The Bronchos have yet to win away from Hamilton Field House this season
  • Adarius Avery averages a team-best 20.1 ppg. The Bronchos average 78.7 points as a team and own a plus-2.9 scoring margin
  • Avery also leads UCO in rebounds with 9.4/game. Central Oklahoma averages 35.7 boards/game
  • Opponents are shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from the 3-point arc
     


OBU Offensive Report
  • OBU is 4-4 overall, but just 1-3 in nonconference games. However, OBU is undefeated at home this year
  • Against non-conference teams, the Bison are averaging 91.2 ppg on 53.0 percent shooting from the field and 40.0 shooting from long range
  • Wade leads OBU with 17.8 ppg against non-conference opponents, followed by Turner's 16.3 ppg. Three other Bison also average better than 10 ppg: Julian Daughtry (12.3), Harrison Stoddart (10.5) and Dishon Lowery (10.3)
