SHAWNEE – The Bison jumped out to an early 20-point lead and never looked back, scoring a 120-74 exhibition win over Barclay College Tuesday night at the Noble Complex.

The season-opening victory marked the debut for first-year head coach
Jason Eaker, as well as a revamped Bison roster that features 10 newcomers.

Davion Turner and
Dishon Lowery led the way with 12 points apiece, while
Brantly Thompson and
Antonio Wade also touched double figures in the half. The Bison cleaned the glass for a 32-13 advantage, with Lowery completing his double-double in just 11 minutes of action after pulling down 11 boards. Oklahoma Baptist would go into halftime with a 68-30 lead.

In the second half, coach Eaker was able to clear his bench as the Bison cruised to victory in their only tune-up of the season.

The Bison officially open their season Friday, Nov. 9, at the GAC-MIAA Challenge in Bethany, Oklahoma. OBU takes on Washburn at 5:30 p.m. Friday before facing the University of Nebraska at Kearney at 3 p.m. Saturday.
