SHAWNEE – The Lady Bison are set for the penultimate match inside Mabee Arena at the Noble Complex when they play host to East Central on Thursday for a 7 p.m. Great American Conference bout.
 
Oklahoma Baptist (13-14, 6-5 GAC), sixth in the GAC, will be looking for the season sweep of the Tigers after escaping Ada with a 3-2 win earlier this year. East Central (0-23, 0-11 GAC) have won just seven sets away from Ada this year, and are looking to break into the win column for the first time in 2018.
 
The Lady Bison rank fifth in the conference averaging 12.79 kills/set. Mikayla Watson leads the team and is fourth in the GAC at 3.44 kills/set. Malia Leatherland is second on the team with 3.20 kills/set. Jenna Gremmel and Hayden Blair continue to platoon setter duties, combining to average 11.54 assists/set.
 
Defensively for OBU, Kelsi Chavez averages 4.30 digs/set, leading the way for the Lady Bison who are second in the conference at 18.74 digs/set. Brecken Roquemore boasts a .82 blocks/set average.
 
East Central, hitting just .090, averages 9.57 kills/set, paced by Karina Erreguin's 2.41 kills/set. Abbey Wehrman holds the team lead in digs/set with 4.62 to her credit.
