RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas– Oklahoma Baptist fell in straight sets, 3-0 (16-25, 21-25, 28-30), against Arkansas Tech on the road in Russellville in the first leg of their weekend trip to Arkansas.

Malia Leatherland scored off a
Delayna Mills assist, made ATU face two set points before the Golden Suns scored three straight points to hold a 25-24 advantage. Oklahoma Baptist would claim two more leads in back-and-forth action, but ultimately fell facing match point at 29-28.

Mikayla Watson led the way with 15 kills, while Leatherland also touched double figures with 10 kills.
Hayden Blair had a team-high 31 assists.

Kelsi Chavez tied for the team lead with 15 digs apiece. Watson and Leatherland both finished with double-doubles after securing 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
