SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist tips off the 2018 portion of the women's basketball schedule Thursday with a 5:30 home game against Arkansas Tech in the Noble Complex.
The game will be carried in Shawnee on KGFF at AM-1450 and FM-100.9 as well as on
www.obubison.com/watch. Pre-game begins at 5:05 p.m.
Thursday's game is Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Night and season ticket holders can receive two complimentary tickets per account. Additionally, the first 100 fans receive rally towels.
The Lady Bison are 6-4 on the season and 1-3 in the Great American Conference after winning the final two games of 2017.
GAC Player of the Week
Tasha Edge leads the Lady Bison, averaging 17 points per game. Edge is third in scoring in the GAC and her 8.1 rebounds per game is second in the league.
McKenzie Cooper averages 13.3 points, followed by
Shaylan Coleman at 12.4 and
Lexi Williams at 11.5.
Autumn Avina leads the conference at 5.4 assists per game.
Jayana Sanders missed the last ATU game but averages a team-best 14.6 points per game. Ke'vonshaye Stackhouse averages 12.3 and Lyrik Williams comes off the bench for 11.9 points and a team-best 8.5 rebounds per game.
Arkansas Tech is 7-1 overall and on a three-game win streak since losing at home to Southwestern.
The Golden Suns shut down offenses, allowing 32.7 percent on field goal attempts (6th in D2), getting 11.6 more rebounds per game (6th in D2), and averaging 14.6 steals per game (4th in D2).
