SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's soccer maintained their perfect mark against Great American Conference competition, dispatching the visiting East Central Tigers, 1-0, on Saturday morning in Shawnee.
Hannah White bagged the only goal of the contest in the 34th minute, picking up a pass from
Ruth King before slotting it home. The goal was White's fourth in five matches this season.
The Lady Bison defense, including starters
Jennifer Goethe,
Kelsey Bumgarner,
Lara Haring-Lovett and
Rachel Beiermann, picked up their second clean sheet of the week while holding ECU to just three shots over 90 minutes of play.
Emily Griffith picked up the win while recording one save.
Oklahoma Baptist (8-1, 4-0 GAC) remains atop the GAC leaderboard as the only undefeated team in the league as a result of the win. The Lady Bison continue their seven-match homestand on Thursday, Oct. 5 when they welcome Southwestern Oklahoma State to the OBU Soccer Complex at 5:30 p.m.
