HTML Box Score) Oklahoma Baptist fell to Lynn 2-3 (25-19, 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-17) Saturday night in the final match of the Bahama House Classic.

The Lady Bison took the first set 25-19 after closing on a 7-2 run to take an early lead over the Fighting Knights. Lynn won back-to-back sets by just five points combined for a 2-1 edge.

OBU roared back to force a fifth set with a dominant fourth set victory. The Lady Bison claimed a wire-to-wire win in the fourth, leading by as much as seven points on five occasions, including the final margin. OBU had 17 kills in the fourth frame on a .400 hitting percentage, a season-high for a single set.

After falling behind early, the Lady Bison dropped the decisive fifth set 15-17. Lynn jumped out to an 8-4 lead and the Lady Bison fought back using an 8-3 run to take their first lead of the set at 12-11. The Fighting Knights outscored the Lady Bison 6-3 down the stretch to seal the match.

Mikayla Watson paced the team with 16 kills on a .400 hitting percentage and finished with a team-high 17 digs.
Hayden Blair had 36 assists and freshman
Kaylee Buell added 19 assists and nine digs in her Lady Bison debut.
Nicole Fleitman and
Sophia Couto each had five block assists and
Kelsi Chavez posted 16 digs.

Now 2-2, the Lady Bison are off until the Southwest Baptist Tournament Sept. 8-9 in Bolivar, Missouri. OBU will face Fort Lewis College and Drury on Friday, and close with Emporia State and Adams State Saturday afternoon.
