BETHANY – Oklahoma Baptist split a pair of games at Southern Nazarene Wednesday, taking the opener 4-2 before losing the nightcap in extra innings, 5-4.

The Lady Bison took the opener despite not scoring in the first four innings.
Cheyenne Demaree ripped a three-run, pinch-hit home run in the top of the fifth for a 3-1 lead.

Southern Nazarene got a run back in the bottom of the fifth, but
Bailee Saye singled in a run in the top of the seventh.

Saye got the pitching win and
Haylee Zimmerman collected her third save with two scoreless innings.

The Lady Bison got eight hits from eight different players.

Shelby Savage had a two-run single in the first inning for a 2-0 lead, but SNU tied the game. OBU went up 3-2 on a RBI ground out by
Katie Reyes in the fourth.

SNU tied the game again before
Miranda Garza delivered a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth with a two-out RBI double.

OBU had 10 hits, including two each by Savage and Garza.

Zimmerman took the loss.

The Lady Bison hit the road again Friday and Saturday with doubleheaders at Southwestern Oklahoma State, playing Friday at 3 and Saturday at noon.
