SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist lacrosse has signed Jenks High School senior Mackenzie Beaver for the upcoming season.
Beaver, a 5-5 defender, was an NCA Champion and a participant in the first women's high school All-Star Game in Oklahoma history. She was on the runner-up team at the State Championships in 2016, playing for coaches Mesa Ostervald, Chuck Porter and Emily Forbes.
Â
The Tulsa native earned superintendent and principal's honor roll status, was a member of the National Spanish Honor Society and is a Distinguished Graduate.
Â
Beaver was also recruited by Tennessee Wesleyan, North Carolina Wesleyan, Saint Andrews, Lindenwood-Belleville, Beloit, and Montreat. She chose OBU for a number of reasons, including that Bison Hill is "close to home", the availability of a scholarship, and the "school environment."
Â
Mackenzie is the daughter of John and Tisha Beaver.
