Lacrosse Faces No. 2 Lindenwood in Finale

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist lacrosse will play their final game of the season against No. 2 Lindenwood Saturday in St. Charles, Missouri.
 
The Lady Bison will wrap up their first season in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with the program's first meeting against the Lions. OBU is 2-6 in RMAC play and 4-9 on the season after dropping a road non-conference game to McKendree on Thursday.
 
Sophomore Alexis Martin leads the Lady Bison with 20 goals scored. It is the 10th time in program history a player has eclipsed the 20-goal mark in a single season and the second straight year for Martin to meet the milestone.
 
Senior Paige Morrison has scored 18 goals this year, bringing her career total to 84, one shy of the program record held by teammate Hannah Dowell. Dowell has collected 26 ground balls this season and has a .795 shot on goal percentage.
 
Allison Ingrim averages 2.54 caused turnovers per game, which ranks second in the conference and eighth in NCAA Division II. OBU is the top team in the nation in caused turnovers per game at 13.31 per contest.
 
Lauren McCormack has won 51 draw controls, a program record, and has five assists to go with 15 goals this season. Freshman goalkeeper Courtney Barnickle has 91 saves on the year and is just four saves away from matching the program record of 95, set by Sabrina Attaway in two straight seasons.
 
Lindenwood is 16-0 on the season and 6-0 in RMAC play. The Lions outscore opponents by a margin of 10 goals per game, scoring 16.81 while allowing just 6.81. Sophie Buelow has scored 36 goals to lead the team, and Rachel Benzing has collected 24 assists.
 
Carly Fedorowski has scooped up a team-high 36 ground balls and Erin Abbott leads the Lions with 31 caused turnovers. Rachel Ortell has started 11 games in goal and allows 8.38 goals per game on a .506 save percentage.
