Madison Vaughan hit two home runs for Oklahoma Baptist in a Great American Conference split at Southeastern Oklahoma State Friday.

OBU won the opener 6-5 and lost the second game 2-1.

Both of Vaughan's home runs came in the opener and give her 10 for the season. It is just the 10
th time an OBU hitter has hit 10 home runs in a season. The last to do it was
Kasey Maddox in 2015.

Oklahoma Baptist got the day started with a run in the top of the first on a solo home run by Vaughan.

OBU scored two in the second on a throwing error and the Lady Bison led 3-1.
Â
Vaughan added her second home run in the third for a 4-1 lead.

Bailee Saye singled in a run in the fourth to extend the lead to 5-1 but OBU left the bases full.
Â
Cheyenne Demaree hit a solo home run – her eighth round-tripper of the season – for a 6-1 lead.
Â
Southeastern scored four times and had two runners in scoring position when
Haylee Zimmerman pitched out of the jam to preserve the win.

OBU had 14 hits in the game, led by Demaree and
Miranda Garza with three each and
Shelby Savage and Vaughan with two apiece.

OBU trailed 2-0 in the second game before getting a third-inning home run by
Sam Barry – her eighth – to make it 2-1.

Saye shut out SOSU the rest of the game, but OBU couldn't get a second run.
Â
Vaughan and Barry had two hits apiece to pace OBU's seven-hit attack.
Â
The same two teams meet again Saturday, scheduled for a noon start.
