SHAWNEE – Taylor Skomp, a defender from The Woodlands, Texas, has signed with Oklahoma Baptist lacrosse.
Â
Skomp is a senior at The Woodlands College Park High School where she plays for Danny Tosh. She was an All-District selection, awarded the Defender of the Year twice, and has been named a Rising Star. Skomp's teams have been ranked number one in the state of Texas, qualified for the city championship, won the Aggieland Classic two years in a row, and reached the state semifinals last year.

"Taylor's a fierce competitor who comes from an incredibly successful program out of The Woodlands. She's highly motivated, and that's helped her gain the skills necessary to cover multiple spots for us on the field," said Lady Bison head coach
Jordan Beech.
Â
Although she was also recruited by Missouri Valley, DeSales, Regis College (MA), and New England College, Skomp chose OBU because she "loved the coach, team, school, church and the atmosphere of the school. [The] location is great and it felt homey."

Taylor is the daughter of Paula and Brian Skomp.Â
