SAU Sweeps Lady Bison

SHAWNEE – Second-ranked Southern Arkansas took a pair of games Saturday from Oklahoma Baptist, 17-2 and 13-1, completing a weekend sweep.
 
OBU scored its runs in the first game on an RBI triple by Jill Shipman in the first inning and an RBI single by Shipman in the fifth.
 
Shipman and Shelby Savage had two hits each for the Lady Bison.
 
In the second game, OBU scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Kursten Bergene. Madison Vaughan led the team with two hits in the game.
 
OBU returns to action next weekend with a four-game series at Arkansas-Monticello.
