Full Results) Hosting their second straight meet to open the outdoor season, Oklahoma Baptist once again qualified a host of athletes for the NCCAA National Championship at the OBU Invitational Saturday.

OBU met the standard in a total of 71 events, including 40 by the women and 31 by the Bison men. In two events this year, the women have posted 81 total qualifiers, with the men meeting the standard in a total of 49 events.

Four Lady Bison qualified in the 100 meters, paced by
Shariah Anderson in 12.72.
Leah Molter (12.82),
Candis Rodgers (12.83), and
Ruth King (12.98) also met the standard.
Â
McKae Mitchell won the 200 meters with a qualifying time of 25.08, pacing three other OBU qualifiers in
Kya Barnes (25.93), Anderson (26.41), and Rodgers (26.44).
Lacey Herbert (26.38) and
Maggie Smith (26.79) also met the standard while competing in the heptathlon.

Barnes took first in the 400 meters in 58.18, meeting the qualifying standard.
Breanna Hurlbut (59.21),
Abigail Mayfield (1:00.41), and
Kysha Miller (1:01.53) also qualified in the event.

Destinee Allen won the 800 meters and qualified in 2:16.04. Also qualifying were
Sarah Gilstad (2:20.10) and
Tesa Potter (2:21.13).

OBU qualified two in the 1500 meters, taking the top two spots by nearly eight seconds.
Sydney Lawrence (4:48.73) won the event with
Kaylee Large (4:48.91) finishing just behind her for second place.

Zoya Timoshenko met the standard in the 5000 meters, finishing in 18:50.52.

Molter swept the 100 meter hurdles (14.46) and the 400 meter hurdles (1:03.57), qualifying in both events.
JoziRose Mayfield also qualified in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:06.75. Herbert (14.97) and
Carleigh Neal (16.25) qualified in the 100 meter hurdles as part of the heptathlon.

Emily Sechrist won the 3000 meter steeplechase in a qualifying time of 11:17.03.

There is no official time to qualify for relays in the NCCAA, but the Lady Bison finished second in the 4x100 meter relay (49.31) and won the 4x400 meter relay in 3:53.68.

Sydney Long qualified in the high jump (1.53 meters) and the long jump (5.22m).
Â
Raigan Servati (1.55m) and Herbert (1.49m) met the standard in the high jump as part of the heptathlon. Neal qualified in the high jump (1.52m) and the long jump (5.13m) while competing in the heptathlon.

Kimberly Mead also met the standard in the long jump at 5.27 meters.
Â
Payton Wilson won the pole vault in a qualifying height of 3.01 meters.
Â
Brittany Poe qualified in the shot put (12.02m) and the discus (35.76m).
Hollie Johnson also qualified in the shot put with a throw of 11.08 meters, and
Jennifer Baker reached the standard in the discus with a distance of 38.50 meters.

Katrina Horner finished third in the javelin with a qualifying throw of 36.94 meters. Herbert also met the standard at 30.90 meters while competing in the heptathlon.

Herbert finished second in the heptathlon with 4360 points, Neal was sixth with 3707, Servati took seventh at 3672, and Smith finished ninth with 3465 points.

For the Bison men,
Devontrae Young (10.90) and
Thiago Dos Santos (11.15) both met the qualifying standard in the 100 meters. Young (21.92) and Dos Santos (22.84) also qualified in the 200 meters.

Matthew Giudice took second and qualified in the 400 meters in 48.86, while
Clayton Honeycutt also made the cut at 51.15.

Carlos James (1:57.40) and
DeAngelo Robles (1:58.04) were both qualifiers in the 800 meters.

Two OBU men met the standard in the 1500 meters, paced by
Jacob Janzen in 4:04.81.
Blaine Whitson also finished in a qualifying time of 4:07.69.

A trio of Bison met the qualifying standard in the 110 meter hurdles.
Brandon Crowley (15.15),
Cayden Spain (15.41), and
Christopher Walker (15.42) each met the standard.

Dakota Kappelle (57.36), Spain (57.97), Walker (58.02), and Crowley (58.88) all qualified in the 400 meter hurdles.

Bison men finished runner-up in the 4x400 meter relay in 3:18.76. There is no official relay standard in the NCCAA.
Â
Spencer Lashley (4.61m) and
Phillip Spess (4.46m) each met the standard in the pole vault.
Â
Jordan Patterson won the long jump with a qualifying distance of 7.37 meters and qualified in the triple jump (13.77m).
Tanner Profice also hit the mark in the long jump at 7.12 meters.

Jacob Cochran met the standard for the Bison in both the shot put (13.76m) and the discus (43.63m).

Competing in the decathlon,
Andrew Worley qualified in the 100 meters (11.02), the 110 meter hurdles (16.20), and long jump (6.85m).

Hayden Ashley met the standard in the high jump (1.90m), pole vault (4.35m), long jump (6.80m), and javelin (45.73m), all as part of the decathlon.
Â
Ashley won the decathlon with 6539 points, meeting the NCAA Division II provisional standard. Worley was fourth with 5688 points, and
Kolten Speaks took eighth at 5023.

The men and women are off until April 8, when they travel to El Dorado, Kansas, to compete in the Butler County Grizzly Invitational.
