RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist dropped the opener of its series at Arkansas Tech Saturday night, 4-3.

OBU scored in the first inning on an RBI single by
Zane Gelphman.

Arkansas Tech scored a run in the third to tie the game and three in the fourth to grab a 4-1 lead.

Juan Gonzalez doubled in Gelphman in the sixth and
Dustyn Cook scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by
Josh Timms to trim the lead to 4-3.

Carson McPherson took the loss.
Nick Burnham pitched two innings of scoreless relief.

The Bison had six hits, including a double and a single by Gelphman.

The teams finish the series at Arkansas Tech with a noon doubleheader Sunday.
