SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist dropped the first game of its three-game set with Arkansas-Monticello, losing 6-3 Sunday.

The Bison tied the game in the sixth with two runs on two throwing errors and a sacrifice fly by
Kevin Olmeda.

OBU trailed 6-2 before
Zane Gelphman added a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning for the final margin.

Weevil pitching held the Bison to singles by Olmeda,
Brett Berghammer and
Juan Gonzalez.

The teams meet again Monday for a noon doubleheader to finish the series at Bison Field at Ford Park. The games were originally set for 1 p.m.
