Lacrosse Tabbed 10th in Preseason RMAC Poll

RMAC Preseason Release

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will have to earn respect in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, entering the RMAC preseason coaches' poll at the bottom of the list at No. 10 in the 10-team poll. The conference office released the results of the preseason poll on Wednesday morning.

Receiving only 13 points from RMAC coaches, the Lady Bison will have their work cut out for them in their debut season as an affiliate member of the conference. However, Oklahoma Baptist is primed to do just that, boasting a roster laden with veteran talent and promising underclassmen.

"The goal remains the same, we're going to run to win," said second-year head coach Jordan Beech. "When I told the team about the poll results, they were ready to double down and find the extra ten percent we need to push ourselves into that elite grouping."

Lindenwood is projected to repeat as RMAC champion, and will enter the 2017 season with nine of a possible 10 first-place votes and 81 total points. Regis, last season's runner-up, picked up one first-place vote and 73 total points. Rounding out the top three is Colorado Mesa with 62 points.
