TAHLEQUAH – Oklahoma Baptist dropped a 12-6 decision at Northeastern State Tuesday despite out-hitting the Riverhawks, 14-9.

The Bison got two hits each from
Brett Berghammer,
Juan Gonzalez,
Josh Timms,
Bob English and
Dustyn Cook.

OBU took a 2-0 lead with an RBI single by Berghammer in the second and a solo home run by Gonzalez in the third.

NSU scored the next 10 runs, including eight in the fifth inning, on five hits.

The Bison added a run in the sixth on an RBI single by English and two more in the seventh on an RBI single by
Zane Gelphman and a bases-loaded walk by Joe Moran.

English added an RBI single in the ninth.

OBU got a scoreless inning of relief each from
Brad Adams and
Tyler Gibson.

Nick Burnham, 0-1, was tagged with the loss.

The Bison, now 8-5, head to Southern Arkansas this weekend for a three-game set against the Muleriders. The teams play a doubleheader Friday at 3 p.m. with a 1 p.m. finale Saturday.
