SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist got a career-best 32 points from
Katy Custer and cruised to an 87-75 win over Arkansas-Monticello Thursday in the Noble Complex.
Custer was 9 of 15 from the field and hit 4 of 5 three-point attempts. She also canned 10 of 11 free throw tries.
"Katy is just really hard to stop," said OBU Coach
Casi Bays. "If she gets the ball inside she can finish and she can step outside and knock down the three. Any coach would be fortunate to have a player with that versatility."
The Lady Bison also picked up 16 points from
Cameerah Graves, 12 from
Tasha Edge and 11 from
Lexi Williams.
Autumn Avina led the Lady Bison with nine rebounds and eight assists. Graves added four steals.
Now 9-18 overall and 6-15 in the Great American Conference, the Lady Bison close the season Saturday with a 1 p.m. Senior Day contest against Southern Arkansas in the Noble Complex.
