SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist hosts Arkansas-Monticello Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
 
The teams have not won on the road against each other during their Great American Conference rivalry. With their win in Monticello this season, UAM gained the first multi-game streak in the series at two.
 
Monticello claimed a home win in overtime in January. Katy Custer scored 29 points to go with 10 rebounds, hitting 12 of 16 field goal tries. Tasha Edge added 17 points and a dozen rebounds while dishing out six assists. Autumn Avina added 16 points. Brittnee Broadway scored 19 points and Nelsha Peterson added 18 for the Cotton Blossoms. It was Broadway's best scoring game of the season.
 
Katy Custer and Tasha Edge have been the leading scorers in 18 of their 26 games so far this season. Custer leads the team at 14.2 and Edge is second at 14.0 points per game. Cameerah Graves checks in at 10.2 and Autumn Avina at 10.0. Edge leads the team with 8.7 rebounds per game. Graves has a team-high 92 assists and 42 steals.
 
Arkansas-Monticello is 11-13 on the season and 8-12 in the Great American Conference. Treasure Evans leads the Cotton Blossoms at 12.3 points per game, followed by Ayesha Ward at 12.0, Nelsha Peterson at 11.0 and Taylor Collins at 10.1. UAM has lost three of its last four games. The team is in a three-way tie with Southern Nazarene and Henderson State for the final two playoff spots in the GAC Tournament.
