SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist faces Northwestern Oklahoma State Saturday at 3 p.m. to start a three-game, season-ending home stand in the Noble Complex.
While OBU has won most of its conference games against Northwestern all-time, the Rangers have a 2-1 lead in the series as Great American Conference rivals.
Northwestern handed OBU a 96-59 loss in Alva last month.
Darnival Henry scored 16 points with
Chandler Rickey adding 12 and
Tyler Zivney 11. Henry had four three-pointers. The Bison were without
Steven Green,
Vladimir Nemcok and
Marko Zelic. Cody Halvorson had seven three-pointers and led Northwestern with 21 points.
Kevin Franceschi (29) and
Vladimir Nemcok (20) had their scoring highs for OBU Thursday at Southwestern.
The Bison are home for the last three games of the season. The Noble Complex is the site of five wins this season and
Chandler Rickey averages 18.6 points and 8.3 rebounds on the home hardwoods.
Steven Green averages 16 points,
Kevin Franceschi 14,
Travon Moore 11.3 and
Vladimir Nemcok 11 at home.
Northwestern Oklahoma State is 11-13 overall and 7-12 in the GAC after losing its last two games at Southwestern and at home to East Central. Adrian Motley leads the Rangers at 19.4 points per game.
