WEATHERFORD – Oklahoma Baptist won their 2017 road finale, whipping Southwestern Oklahoma State, 95-82, Thursday.

The Bison posted their most points in a Great American Conference game in its two seasons.

OBU hot 53 percent from the field, knocked down 13 three-pointers and mde 26 of 32 free throws (81 percent).

Kevin Franceschi scored a game-best 29 points, including four three-pointers and nine free throws in 10 attempts.

Vladimir Nemcok added 20 points, six of those coming on three-pointers while falling away from the basket.
Chandler Rickey,
Travon Moore,
Jansen Hight and
Tyler Zivney scored 11 points each.

Franceschi led the team with six rebounds and four assists. Rickey blocked three shots and Nemcok came away with three steals.

"We came out and punched them in the mouth early," Franceschi said. "They made some good runs, but we had good poise and continued our commitment to good defense."

The Bison return home Saturday to take on Northwestern Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. to launch a season-ending three-game home stand.
