SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball will play the final road match of the season Tuesday when they travel to Durant, Oklahoma, to face Southeastern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m.

The Lady Bison (16-13, 10-4 GAC) can secure a finish no worse than fourth place in the final Great American Conference standings with a win over the Savage Storm (12-17, 7-7 GAC). OBU took the first meeting of the season in Shawnee in straight sets with a balanced attack that featured four players collecting seven kills each.

This season, the Lady Bison have posted 12.94 kills per set (fourth in GAC) on a .209 hitting percentage (fifth in GAC).
Mikayla Watson is fresh off her second consecutive GAC Offensive Player of the Week award after averaging 5.38 kills on a .315 hitting percentage, and finished with an OBU season-high 24 kills against Northwestern Oklahoma State. She leads the Lady Bison attack with 3.28 kills per set (sixth in GAC).
Hayden Blair feeds the offense with 9.40 assists per set (sixth in GAC). Blair set two school records last week, finishing with 40 assists against Southwestern Oklahoma State, the most assists in a three-set match in the Division II-era, and set the program record with 65 assists in a match against Northwestern.

OBU continues to dominate at the net, posting a GAC-leading 2.37 blocks per set, which ranks 18
th in NCAA Division II. Three Lady Bison are in the top-10 in the GAC for blocks per set, paced by
Sophia Couto with 1.09 (third in GAC).
Cadyn Laing adds 1.01 (fourth in GAC) and
Nicole Fleitman averages 0.86 blocks per set (ninth in GAC). Freshman libero
Kelsi Chavez posts 4.62 digs per set (eighth in GAC) to lead the team, and
Malia Leatherland adds 2.62 kills per set and 2.70 digs per set in her first season on Bison Hill.

Southeastern enters the match as one of the hottest teams in the conference with a six-match winning streak that dates back to Oct. 20. The Savage Storm have posted 12.2 kills per set (eighth in GAC) on a .142 hitting percentage (10
th in GAC). Abby Jameson is one of the top offensive threats in the GAC, averaging 3.46 kills (fourth in GAC). Arianna Baker has been efficient, posting 2.82 kills on .292 hitting (ninth in GAC) while also leading the team with 0.64 blocks per set. SOSU features a prolific libero in Caitlin Cosby, who leads the league with 5.96 digs per set. Alissa Benson recently became the GAC all-time leader in assists and currently stands at 4006 for her career. She provides the Savage Storm offense with 9.73 assists per set (fifth in GAC).
